WHITE LILY OF CUPID'S TOUCH

I ignore it, at least i try to.
But can i ignore my own heart.
Can i curse it's independent schemings?
It's love?
Or perhaps there is not deception.
It was inevitable that my fort will one day fall, knocked down by love.

Oh! Such beauty.
Are you my trial?
I would fail woefully.
Why do you always have to be here in my heart.
Right where i cannot tell you to go away.
Why do you hunt me so?

Should i stop time to look at you?
Should i fight the armies of life to protect you?
Your knight disguised in a worn out cloak.
The Earth strains to contain my love.
Heaven smiles at it.

I shall always be here for you.
You who have enslaved my heart with your smile.
The smile i would fight the world to keep on your face.
Until the day when i become intoxicated with courage,
And whisper those true words to you.
I shall be here, disguised as a friend; waiting forever.
Patience would envy me.
